TRIUMPHED TRUMPET

I bet you know that feeling when you feel all geared up for life and have complete certainty that the world was indeed waiting for you. You announce your arrival to the world as you are the one who WILL change it! The Messiah that everyone has been waiting for, the saving grace of humanity! The ripples that your presence and ideas will create will be phenomenal and the state of the globe will alter. This is the energy of the youth! Typically, during graduate and post graduate years, the eyes are dreamy and the energy is nearing explosion. Courage is not a word in the dictionary because risk is a way of life. Dreamy words, tall goals, adrenaline rush and visionary eyes are the norm. Though these are the only tools and academic and sports accolades are the only achievements, the high on life is sustained by these titbits with ease.

Then you land in your first job or relationship and it actually hits you, for a lot of you, that the world does not live by your rules. Voila! What a discovery! People are different and life is, well, choosy! The purposeful, life changing, exploding energy begins to get channeled in achieving targets, managing the romance and earning for self and perhaps, others. The rebellious, youthful charge gives way to risk management and aversion where possible. Life begins to shrink and energy is the currency that is to be used with wisdom.

The victorious sound of the trumpet begins to fade to the background and the resounding decibel of life takes the foreground.

Reality and dreams are like a horizon, they meet, separate and meet again yet stay connected at all points and still stay individuated. The triumph of life is in its living and experiencing. A full spectrum of experience adds in the oomph factor and a dollop of energy blows the trumpet ceremoniously celebrating, yet again.
